One of the most debated public topics of recent years has been the so-called Theory of Sexual Redistribution, introduced by economist Robin Hanson, a researcher at Oxford University’s Future of Humanity Institute. The theory gained attention after it was revealed that the Toronto van attacker was motivated by his lack of success with women. Hanson’s reasoning attempts to apply the principles of social justice to sexual redistribution, treating sexual needs as a fundamental right. Based on this premise, he suggests providing access to sex for men who are deprived in this area due to societal inequities. His proposals include monetary compensation for those suffering from a lack of sex and the provision of sex robots to those in need for medical reasons. He justifies this by citing numerous attackers, terrorists, and men displaying deviant social behavior whose fundamental life problem was revealed to be sexual frustration.

Hanson’s thought experiment was adopted by the so-called Incel movement, composed of men living in involuntary celibacy who refer to themselves as omega males. They advocate against the perceived injustices of sexual relationships and mate selection. Briefly put, they claim that first-order alpha males and second-order beta males monopolize all the women, leaving omega males unfulfilled and sexually frustrated.

In our play—crafted from a predefined narrative framework and enriched with actors’ improvisations—we attempt to imagine a world where sexual redistribution becomes a reality.
